In Marshfield Dreams: I was a kid, Ralph Flecher; he talks about important events in his life. The excerpt I read is very easy to comprehend yet is very organized, and sophisticated. In his excerpt he talks about this BIC pen he adores. "I starred at my BIC, the cartridge filled with blue ink so dark it’s almost black. What words are hidden-unborn, unwritten- in all that unused ink?" (Flecher, 2005, .p. 44) I would think it is just a pen but it was more than that to him.” He was a real good baby and a terrific brother. Not a day goes by that I don’t miss him. (Flecher, 2005, .p. 60) in this sentence he tells his feeling to use and shares something very emotional. "Mom said they are just like strangers- some are good some are bad, and since you cant tell the difference it was best to leave them alone. (Flecher, 2005, .p. 4) I liked this passage because it was interesting how the mom compare humans to mushrooms. As shown in this writing Ralph Flecher is a very good writer.
This is an excellent post Sweta! You did a great job of describing Ralph Fletcher's strong points and weak points.Your piece would be even better if you used a bit more advanced vocabulary.Overall you did awsome!

Fantastic work, Sweta! I like how you described your opinions on Ralph Fletcher's writing. As aforementioned by Abi, your vocabulary has room for improvement and your grammer needs a little editing. The are two instances where I feel a little lost. One instance is when you stated your second text citation. What you wrote is not bad but I also think you include transitions. Lastly, you use the word 'excerpt' various times throughout the post, but you don't mention which article or story. You might want to label these. Overall, you did a wonderful job Sweta. I hope to enjoy reading otherremarkable posts like these in the future!
